ello mate. where are you based. i have some seals that need to be replaced on my Volvo c70 convertible 2005 nobody will touch it very frustrating. The seal is located on the rear dec (roof compartment) :(

Unpopular tip: Weigh out your body filler, multiply that by anywhere from 0.015(hot) to 0.030(cold), add the result to the first weight, make your filler equal to this new weight by adding the hardener. ... the cable spring will fit through that whole with taking it off the cable you just have to move the rear bow a little and fold the frame a bit to make the room

i already have trunk struts installed by the previous owner of my car. the strut is WAYYY to strong and slams it open way to fast. i’m also thinking about getting a carbon fiber trunk, should i get oem trunk springs, or will a new trunk strut make it a softer opening?

I bought a Robbins soft top but it only cames with a pictures but not an explanation of how to do it. Thanks for this. I have a 2009 RX-8 (similar transmission and seal) which has been giving me fits leaking around the outer body of the seal. This confirms I should have put RTV on it. I'm also working in-car so my workspace is limited. I went ahead and sprung for the special tool from Mazda for driving it so I get it perfectly square.

I just finished installing mine based on your video and the instructions. (And another video.) 2 things. I ended up drilling another hole just half inch further ahead of where they recommended. This way the trunk opens much higher. Yes, I double checked to make sure the strut would not bind first. The other thing I did was to leave one of the torsion bars in place. This helps my trunk lid pop up on its own. I have a spoiler mounted on my trunk lid and without the torsion bar it wouldn't open as nicely. Thank you so much for this video!
